Thursday again? Already? I’m pretty sure Thursdays didn’t happen this frequently when I was a kid. I think I should write to my Congresswoman and demand that something be done to slow the passage of time. In the meantime, here is this week’s ThrowBack Thursday (TBT):
During the spring of 2018, I spent a few days visiting family in Dodge City, Kansas. I had often heard the saying, “blowing like a Kansas whore”. On this trip, I finally got to experience a Kansas whore. WAIT! I mean, the wind! I experienced the strong, biting wind of Dodge City. And for the sake of Kansas johns, I hope the Kansas whores aren’t as strong and biting as the Kansas wind. It was a wind that made it quite unpleasant to be outdoors, so I didn’t take many photos around town. I did get this pic of this place…

So here’s what today’s post is actually about: Monument Rocks Natural Landmark. If you drive out of Dodge City and meander to the northwest for about two hours, you just might find yourself at Monument Rocks – a most unexpected group of rock formations in the midst of a vast expanse of smoothly rolling grassland. It was still quite windy when we arrived, but this place was well worth visiting despite the weather. See for yourself…

That about wraps it up for this week’s edition of TBT. Next week, there will be no TBT, as I will be reporting LIVE. I will be on the road for two weeks, so for the next two (maybe three) Thursdays, I will be posting about my ongoing adventures (rather than my not-too-recent ones). TTFN
