As you may or mayn’t recall from a previous ThrowBack Thursday, the first thing I did with my Good Camera was to take it for a stroll around downtown Denver. Well, a couple months later, I decided it was time for a similar stroll. This time I explored to the north and east of the state capitol. I was on the prowl for architectural eye candy. I found it in the many houses of worship in the area. I’ll let the Catholics get us started, with the Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception…








From there, it isn’t far to Temple Emanuel. Shalom, DAMMIT!










Next, I wandered past a building that was originally known as the Mosque of the El Jebel Shrine. According to Wikipedia, this building never served as an actual mosque. By the time of this visit, it had been sold and had become known as the Sherman Street Event Complex. Here ’tis…

Another nice bell tower can be found at Saint Paul Lutheran Church. I would tell you to see for yourself but, frankly, I don’t care who you see for. Maybe you have a blind friend, I don’t know! Just scroll down and SEE it, OK?




I had intended to check out Benedict Fountain Park as part of this stroll, but found the entire park was closed for some serious rehab. So, here’s the only pic I got of that place…

After the disappointment of Benedict Fountain Park being closed, I headed for home, taking the following few pictures as I wandered…
