I have reached a point in my figurative camera roll where I didn’t go on any intensively photographed trips for quite a while. But that didn’t stop me taking a small number of photos at each of several places. So many places in fact, that I am dividing this hodgepodge of photographic locations across two ThrowBack Thursdays (TBT). This week’s half-podge begins at Tallulah Gorge State Park in northeast Georgia. I went to this park because it claims a series of six waterfalls along a one-mile stretch of the Tallulah River. I remember thoroughly enjoying it, and thinking I should come back during the autumn, but I don’t remember why I took only three pictures. Here they are:

Next up: the scenery at my house. The house I was renting in southwest Charlotte, that is. I had forgotten how nice the landlady kept that place. Now that I own a house (and a Bear), my home doesn’t look nearly this good:

On June 29th, 2019 I was wandering around western North Carolina when I happened upon the town of Sylva. This town would be nothing out-of-the-ordinary, except that it has the most dramatically situated county courthouse I’ve ever encountered. Check it out:

Later that same day, I made my way once again to the Blue Ridge Parkway (BuRP). This was at the west end of the Parkway. I had been along this stretch of the BuRP once before, but at that time the fog was too dense to get any pictures. On this day, the weather was much more cooperative, as you can see here:

To finish off this week’s TBT, we have Mingo Falls, which is near the west end of BuRP. Kinda between BuRP and Great Smoky Mountains National Park. ‘Tis a decent waterfall. have a look:

That’s it, I’m done! For today, anyway. Come back next Thursday for another varied assortment of photos. This will likely include a couple of hydroelectric dams, a weekend in Boone, more of my former home, and another little piece of BuRP. Until then…don’t take any wooden nickels!
