GAH!
Aw, jeez, don’t sneak up on me like that! You have to, like, digitally knock er sumthin’
Anywhat, about a week ago, I started taking sublingual vitamin B12. I had read some online discussion that indicated sublingual B12 was helpful for folks with the LRRK2 gene and Parkinson’s Disease (PD). While I know I do not have the LRRK2 gene, I figured: Hey, it’s a vitamin. It couldn’t hurt to try.
Results: it hurt to try. I can’t say I noticed any improvements in my PD symptoms, motor or non-motor. The only change I noticed that I felt could be attributed to the B12 was that I experienced headaches for the first couple of mornings. These were minor and easily handled by ibuprofen. Less easily handled were the increases in anxiety and fatigue. However, at this point, I’m not ready to blame the B12 for that. Not yet, anyway. I have now stopped taking it and will report back when I’ve been off the stuff for a week.
