During the summer of 2011, I moved from the city of Longmont to the city o’ Lakewood. The apartment I moved into would be my last residence in Colorado, but I didn’t yet know that. What I did know was that I loved my new neighborhood and wanted to photograph it. One of the things I loved about this area was that it’s very walkable. In fact, nearly all the photos you’re about to see were taken while on walkabout – I only used my car for a few of the Denver Federal Center photos. Without further ado, This IS Lakewood!

Wow, that was quick, wasn’t it? Maybe a little too quick. Maybe it’s time I go back to making these ThrowBack Thursday (TBT) posts as long as they used to be. Which do you prefer: a quick post covering a single day trip (like this one), or a hodgepodge encompassing multiple trips? Next week’s TBT post will be a return to Leadville, and possibly one or two other trips. Take it easy!
