Sudden Change in Symptoms (Part 2)

Note: this is a continuation from Part 1.

Well, I’ve got it all figured out now. The drastic change in symptoms that I described in Part 1 was due to nicotine poisoning. When I ran out of my initial two-week supply of nicotine patches, I didn’t replace them right away. I just went without them. My condition improved rapidly over the next few days. I then did a little research on “Nic Sick” and found that my symptoms matched those of nicotine poisoning. One site even claimed that the CDC considers 50mg to be a fatal dose of nicotine. I did not check the CDC’s site to confirm this, but it would make sense, as I was taking 21mg day, enough to nearly half kill me in each day’s patch.

However, I am not giving up on nicotine. The hope is that I truly was just taking too much of it, and that I’d do well on a smaller dosage. Within the next few days, I will start using 14mg nicotine patches. If that still seems to be too much, I’ll try the 7mg patches. In the meantime, I have resumed taking lion’s mane mushroom supplements.

Happy Blow Stuff Up Day!
