New Stem Cell Development?

About 2.5 years ago, I was considering undergoing stem cell therapy to try to treat my Parkinson’s Disease (PD). Ultimately, I concluded that I would only resort to this treatment if I can find a safer place to get it (the company that was offering the treatment required patients to travel to Tijuana, where the procedure was actually performed).

Today, my attention was snagged by an ad for TruStem Cell Therapy. These guys say that they take bone marrow from the patient’s own body, “activate” the stem cells therein, and return them to the patient’s body. The stem cells then seek out damaged brain cells and repair them. The procedure is performed in Illinois – because Chicago is so much safer than Tijuana.

Over the coming weeks or months, I intend to look more fully into TruStem and will present my conclusions here. In the meantime, if any of y’all have insight into TruStem and/or their methodology, I would love to hear what you have to say!
