This morning, I was thinking about the movie Terminator 2: Judgement Day. For the uninitiated, the “bad guy” in this movie is a cyborg made of liquid metal. This cyborg survives shotgun blasts, explosions, being hit by a truck, being partially frozen in liquid nitrogen, the list goes on and on. This morning, after having watched this movie countless times over the 30+ years since its release, it finally occurred to me: If it was LIQUID metal, why didn’t somebody just throw a sponge at the bastard?

Leftover Colorado, part four (July 2013)
When we last left our hero, he had just gotten a head start on exploring the old mining areas northeast of Silverton, Colorado. We resume the next morning when, for some reason, he (that is, I) decided that this first day of July would be … Continue reading Leftover Colorado, part four (July 2013)
2023 Travel
I have come up with a rough travel plan for 2023. Only the first two trips are truly certain at this point. The rest are subject to change, but I’ve decided to go ahead and share this now, because I just know you are all itching with excitement (or perhaps with a fungal infection) to find out where I may be going in the coming year.
January: Virgin Islands
March: Nebraska
May: One of the following – Canada, Alaska, Germany, or North Carolina
July: Wyoming (NOT Yellowstone)
September: Wisconsin
November: Mississippi or North Carolina
Leftover Colorado, part three (June 2013)
Today’s post is a continuation from last week’s part two. (Will wonders never cease?) According to Google maps, the drive from Durango to Silverton, Colorado should take about one hour. I scheduled an entire day for this drive, as I expected it to be a … Continue reading Leftover Colorado, part three (June 2013)
Immortal Urine Stains on my Soul
Copyright © 2007 by Cedric Williams
Immortal urine stains on my soul
God was tinkling and missed the bowl
How on earth did I get
On the floor near god’s toilet?
God’s apartment should never be
A hang-out for the likes of me
Much less should I have been sprawled
In the room where nature called
But how I got there doesn’t matter
I just care about the splatter
Of the immortal urine stream
Whose wet warmth woke me from a dream
My immortal soul has now been stained
And like god’s bladder, I feel drained
O how will I ever get my soul clean?
I need an ethereal washing machine
Leftover Colorado, part two (June 2013)
Happy ThrowBack Thanksgiving to all! As Beavis and/or Butt-Head once said, this is the holiday when “you can burp and poop all you want.” And since I intend to spend a lot of time on those two activities, I will try to keep today’s post … Continue reading Leftover Colorado, part two (June 2013)
Speech Therapy End Game
About three months ago, I let y’all know that I was going through speech therapy. That therapy has wrapped up, so I suppose it’s time for an update. The end result is: it worked. It’s been months since I last had an incident where my … Continue reading Speech Therapy End Game
Leftover Colorado, part one (June 2013)
During the spring of 2013, after more than 20 years living in Colorado, I made the decision to move to North Carolina by the end of the year. You would think that 20 years would be enough for me to see everything I wanted to … Continue reading Leftover Colorado, part one (June 2013)
More Random Thoughts from a Damn Weirdo
© 2022 by Cedric Williams It’s probably impossible to say “I am sneezing” while you are actually sneezing. Something to try, though. How is it physically possible to hold a bong when you have hooves? Or am I completely misinterpreting the phrase “high horse”? Listening … Continue reading More Random Thoughts from a Damn Weirdo
Kenosha Pass, Colorado (June 28, 2013)
From Vail Pass to Hoosier Pass to Kenosha Pass…it seems like ThrowBack Thursday has become an exploration of Colorado mountain passes. And ain’t nothin’ wrong with that! Actually, this visit to Kenosha Pass was just the beginning of my day on June 28, 2013. In … Continue reading Kenosha Pass, Colorado (June 28, 2013)
