Predictions for 2026

Gaze deeply into my shiny bald head. You will see into tomorrow. Or you can simply read my predictions below.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints will formally rename the Book of Mormon to “The Newer Testament.”

The United States government will finally admit that North Dakota doesn’t actually exist.

Sheep will continue going to Heaven; goats will still be condemned to Hell.

Gravity will stop working. President Trump will claim responsibility, calling gravity “the worst idea anyone ever had.” Descendants of Sir Isaac Newton will vehemently disagree.

Hiatus Update

Have you thought about the fact that we’re almost a quarter of the way through the 21st century? I’ve thought about it. It hurts my brain.

There is no ThrowBack Thursday (TBT) this week. As was the case last week, this blog is on a short hiatus. There will also not be a TBT next week, but you can’t blame that one on the hiatus. Next week I will begin my Nevada State Vacation. Not one, but two weeks of fun in the desert! And only four days of that will be in Las Vegas. Once that trip is underway, my posts on this blog will pick back up. But fer now, I’m gonna take a nap.

New Year

‘Tis the beginning of a different year! Some might even call it a NEW year. A few might go so far as to dedicate the first day of this NEW year to observance of this NEW year. Those people are (to use the terminology of an OLD year) whack.

As the days slowly get longer, I hope to spend more time writing outdoors, as a lot of my best material has resulted from train-o-thought writings, which are much more varied when the activities of nature and neighbors are thrown into the mix. I am also hoping to become more productive in general. I’ve seen some good signs in that direction lately. I seem to be increasingly successful at adhering to my mantra of “Don’t Lament, Implement!”

Wishing a good year to everyone who reads this, and a mediocre year to everyone else…
