Good day, and welcome to the second (and final) part of my autumn 2017 trip to Western Colorado. (For part one, click here). Today’s post deals entirely with the Colorado National Monument. In the first photo below, the northeast edge of the Colorado Plateau (the cliffs on the left) falls away to the Colorado River Valley on the right. The road cutting across the photo is the entrance to Colorado National Monument, which is located in western Colorado. That’s right; EVERYthing out here is named Colorado.

I don’t really have a story / narrative for the remainder of this trip, so just enjoy the pics…































Western Colorado looks like an amazing place to explore and photograph especially if you are an outdoorsy person š can’t wait to visit one day when it’s safe to do so

Colorado National Monument is still my favorite, but there are a lot of other great places to go in Western Colorado: Black Canyon and Mesa Verde National Parks, Glenwood Canyon, Telluride, and some places that I still haven’t visited – notably Dinosaur National Monument.
